The shocking UK 2017 general election results has caused Prime Minister Theresa May’s personal brand to be in crisis mode, receiving backlash from oppositions and supporters alike.
On Mon 5 June 2017, I had the privilege of being the guest speaker at the legendary Hipsters Hackers & Hustlers (HHH) monthly #SpeedPitch event, where attendees get 30 seconds to pitch their business, ideas and talents. It is London’s original and definitely the BEST co-founder dating and speed pitching event.

Kaitlin Zhang Branding is co-hosting an networking event with the Institute of Directors. We are calling young London entrepreneurs and creatives (ages 18 – 40) to come showcase their business, product or creative portfolios. You would have the opportunity to exhibit your business to around 50 members from the Institute of Directors and receive valuable feedback.
O2 Think Big Hub
16 Hoxton Square
O2 Think Big Hub is located near Old Street Station (take Exit 1 Hoxton). Come enjoy the vibrant space and the buzzing energy of London’s Silicon Roundabout.
Exhibitors will receive table space (around 80cm x 80cm) and floorspace for showcasing their work, such as photos, videos, products, prototypes etc. A great exhibit would clearly demonstrate your business idea even if someone is just passing by. The visuals and products should explain your business without you standing next to it the entire evening. Also let’s give our eyes a rest and try and navigate away from presentation on screens, unless it’s essential to your business. Please keep any text big and legible because of dim lighting. Think more outside the box and introduce a wow factor.
Applicants will hear back about whether you have been successful within 2 weeks. Space is highly competitive and earlier applications would be more likely to be accepted.
Exhibitors must arrive at 5:30pm for set-up.
Please ensure you also sign up for an exhibitor ticket on Eventbrite.
Any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org

On a beautiful London September day, I sat down with Juliana Saldanha, personal branding strategist, to have a web interview recorded for the upcoming International Personal Branding Week 7 – 11 November 2016 by Semana Internacional Brasil. This is an unique event that is 100% free and 100% online. Participants can watch pre-recorded lectures and interviews by industry experts. Some of the topics during the event include brand management, body language, online video production, neuromarketing, story telling, voice design branding and social media strategy.
Personal branding has been steadily gaining popularity in the last few years. The concept of personal branding has been used for a decade in large companies like IBM, Warner Bros., Adobe, Bank of America, Microsoft, among others. And it has become increasing important for anyone who wants to differentiate themselves from the competition. However, what I didn’t know is how big it has grown in Brazil. Olá, my Portuguese friends. I’m excited to join in this conversation with experts and thought-leaders from around the globe.
My interview is scheduled to air on 10 Nov 2016, at 13:00pm. The video is 29 minutes long. During my interview, I talk about my story of becoming a personal branding consultant in London. In my consultancy business, Kaitlin Zhang Branding, we focus on online reputation management and online personal branding. I help my clients curate their online presence so that when anyone searches their name on Google, the many positive results will leave a lasting impression. Since many of clients are entrepreneurs, I give a few tips on how they can invest in their personal brand and some common challenges they face. One of the key things is understanding your brand positioning and unique attributes: what do you want to present yourself as and who are you trying to reach.
This event is for anyone who want to improve their professional reputation so they can get to the next level in their career and business. The non-English videos will have subtitles.
7 – 11 November 2016. All lectures and interviews will be transmitted in accordance to the schedule you will receive after signing up. Everything is free for viewing during those dates.
It’s 100% online. You can watch everything on your computer, mobile or tablet.

Google Alerts help you monitor the web for interesting new content, in particular the latest news stories. Google sends a custom alert email to me anytime it picks up something that I’m tracking. After I read over the content, I’ll then share the most valuable information on social media. I also use Google Alerts to monitor my personal name and company name, so whenever something is written about me, I’m able to find out asap and manage my online reputation.
Paper.li – Free
I also use paper.li to collect and curate great content. I receive a weekly update from them on the most relevant topics to my audience, such as personal branding, digital marketing and reputation management. Also, the website builds a web newspaper for me: Kaitlin Zhang’s Personal Branding Daily Newspaper. It has all my curated content and helps create a web presence for me automatically.
Buffer – Free Social Media Scheduling Tool
Buffer is a free tool to help you share content to your social media accounts such as Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, Instagram etc. I particular like the Buffer extension you can get for your web browser. Whenever I come across something interesting content, I can just click one button and share with all my social media platforms at my schedule times.
